Getting outside in spring!

It’s spring, so we’re getting outside more again! Hiking and also biking have become increasingly popular over the past two years. Of course, this was due to the Corona crisis, but this is certainly not a bad consequence! We have come to appreciate our own country much more. We also notice this when we look at the most read blogs on OpstapmetLisa.nl. You guys have gone out in droves! We have therefore put our previous blogs into one handy umbrella blog for even more inspiration.

Nice walk on the Waalsdorpervlakte

The Netherlands has countless hiking areas and the Waalsdorpervlakte is one of them. This area consists of sandy soil, dunes and forest! You can spend hours there. There are several hiking trails you can walk and several starting points. You can also explore the area by bike. Highly recommended for a day out with the family. The most beautiful Dutch dunes

You really don’t have to go to the beach to enjoy the dunes. There are other places in the Netherlands, including inland, where you can enjoy the dunes. In northern Limburg, for example, you can find the Maasduinen, but the Loonse and Drunense Dunes are also highly recommended. And how about the Kennemer Dunes? Out into the woods!

Some people unwind on the beach, while others prefer the forests. They are wonderful to visit in all seasons and types of weather. The trees keep the rain at bay. Go to Clingendael, for example. The blog we wrote earlier may have been about autumn, but this forest is always very beautiful! Unfortunately, the Japanese Garden is not allowed to open this spring because a special bird is breeding there. So hopefully more luck in the fall!

On vacation in the Netherlands

More and more people are deciding to vacation in their own country, and that’s just fine! The Netherlands is beautiful and there is much to discover. Only the weather has to be a little bit cooperative. Because that remains a thing in our country. We recently went looking for the most beautiful and special vacation parks in the Netherlands. These parks are all located in the most beautiful natural areas of the Netherlands, such as the Veluwe and the Drents Friese Wold. Perfect for getting outside a lot. Discover nice cities in the Netherlands

Getting outside doesn’t just mean spending time in nature. Visit a fun city you don’t know yet! For example, our guest blogger Ingeborg recently went to Friesland with her family. There she followed the footsteps of Hielke and Sietse, you know from the Chameleon. Or visit Heemstede, a town with a village character. But also cities like Rotterdam, Delft and many more nice Dutch cities.

You can often make beautiful walks around country estates. You can find our tips in our blog about country estates. But also the forests and parks around Dutch castles are beautiful and really worthwhile for an active day outdoors. And real daredevils can hunt for ghosts at real haunted houses of the Netherlands.
